Chicago Design Market
July–December 2017

The Chicago Design Market is an assembly of five connected pop-up stores on the third floor of Block 37, managed by the Chicago Design Museum (ChiDM). Market will feature established local brands alongside emerging artists and designers in the spirit of ChiDM’s mission to strengthen the city’s design community by making it more visible and integrated with other communities and the public. Market is open from July to December 2017, and new stores will rotate every month through the end of the year.

Galerie F: July–September

Galerie F is Chicago’s first concert poster and street art gallery. Located in Chicago’s historic Logan Square neighborhood, it specializes in silkscreen gig posters, art prints, and street art.

CHCG is a Chicago-based fashion brand focusing on minimalist designs made from the highest quality materials. The SS 17 Cotton Collection, featured at Market, fuses urban industrial influences with progressive high fashion to create a clean and casual style.

Great Ideas of Humanity: July

ChiDM's Great Ideas of Humanity connects contemporary artists and designers with important thinkers, in order to create an advertising campaign that engages the general public in cultural discourse. The series has recently been exhibited in Hong Kong and Chicago.

MISC. by MK Studio: July

MISC. by MK Studio is a series of installation-led retail experiences featuring designs by Chicago creatives. MISC.’s Market installation will feature finely crafted works on paper—stationery, cards, decor, prints and more. MISC. is produced by designer, maker and experience architect Michelle Kliman.

Cute Stuff by Tony Rabit: July

Cute Stuff by Tony Rabit will satisfy your daily quota for cuteness with original paintings and prints, as well as tote bags, pins, stickers, postcards and other work by Chicago-based illustrator Tony Rabit.
